Paula is a UKCP Registered Relationship Psychotherapist who is also accredited by the BACP and BASRT
Paula Hall has worked with hundreds of couples and individuals who have required relationship guidance, for nearly 20 years. She started working for Relate, the country’s largest provider of relationship support, helping 150,000 annually, in 1994, and has been in private practice for the past several years in Leamington Spa.
Paula has completed Relate training in couple counseling and psychosexual therapy, using psychodynamic theories, and nowadays increasingly working with cognitive behavioural and systemic techniques. In her work in therapy, she emphasizes communication, as it is needed to negotiate through differences and to manage conflicts in a healthy way.
As an expert on relationships, she is regularly asked to comment for national press and women’s magazines as well as appearing on national radio and television. She has written the BBC’s website pages on relationships, as well as the Relate guides, ‘How to Have a Healthy Divorce’ and ‘Help Your Children Cope with Your Divorce’. She is also a behind the scenes consultant for a number of TV productions and charitable and statutory agencies. Paula regularly appears on various national and local current affairs and lifestyle programmes, including GMTV, BBC Breakfast, BBC News 24, Sky News, Five News, Richard & Judy, The Trisha show, Radio 1 Sunday Surgery and Woman’s Hour.
She is now appearing twice a month on TV3's Morning Show with Sybil Mulcahy and Martin King as PARSHIP Dating & Relationship Adviser.
From the 21st October 2010 Paula and her team will be offering a dating and relationship advice service at gayPARSHIP to give you individual and confidential help and support on any dating or relationship questions, including:
